Test Cricket has finally returned to Eden Gardens after a gap of two years. BCCI has finally announced that India will play their two test matches against the South Africans at Eden Gardens, Kolkata and at Nagpur.BCCI secretary N Srinivasan announced this on Sunday. However he did not mention about the dates. He further said that the dates will released within a day or two.Eden Gardens hosted its last test match during the India-Pakistan series in November-December 2007.South Africa is also set to play 3 ODI’s against India. And the venues for the ODI series include Kanpur, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.India-South Africa series will commence after the end of Tri-Series in Bangladesh.
