Hearing Aid

Guys, while browsing through the internet, found a site which is related with the hearing aid.
Hearing aid technology has come a long way since the large black boxes individuals used to have to strap to their chest and then use to ear-buds that traveled from the black box up to their ears making it impossible to hide the fact that they were wearing a hearing aid. Today’s technology in hearing aids consists of microchip computer equipment in order to fit into it the smallest space because many of the hearing aids are now placed inside the ear canal and go virtually undetected. Some of the most common indications that you should see an audiologist include:

• Turning up the volume on the television and radio to a level that others think is too loud.

• Asking friends and family to speak up or repeat what they’ve said

• Being uncomfortable in a noisy environment such as an auditorium or public event

• Avoiding parties or other group functions because you “can’t stand the noise.”

• Finding yourself having to watch a person’s lips to decipher what they are saying

• Missing key elements of a story or conversation

There are many schools set up specifically for deaf children and some do not even allow them to wear hearing aids but rather have them immersed themselves in the ASL – American Sign Language as a way of communicating with one another and their teachers.
