Cold wave conditions in Orissa

The cold wave continues in some parts of Orissa with the minimum temperature dipping below eight degrees Celsius.The temperature dipped in several places. Bolangir town (in Bolangir district) recorded the day's lowest temperature of 7.3 degree Celsius," said official reports.The places like Phulbani (7.4 degrees), Sundergarh (7.4 degrees) and Sambalpur (7.9 degrees) recorded temperatures below eight degrees.While, the temperature dipped in the state capital Bhubaneswar and its adjoining Cuttack city, the official said.Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum of 13.8 degrees Celsius, while Cuttack recorded the temperature reducing to 11.8 degrees from Thursday's 13.5 degrees.The coastal towns of Puri, Paradip, Gopalpur and Chandbali recorded minimum temperatures of 14.8, 13.2., 15 and 10.5 degrees respectively, and stayed warmer.The official added that cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over many parts of Orissa over the weekend
